Northwest News!

The Lord gave us a great day today at Culdaff.  Everyone had a great time and the weather was beautiful!  There was football, playing in the water, lots of great food and craic, fishing, play parks, and tons of fun!  Thanks to everyone who came and to all those who worked so hard to make today possible.  We are looking forward to a great day tomorrow as we study the Bible, sing, and worship together.

I wanted to remind all the young people about our BBQ at Culdaff this Saturday, 31 March, 2007, from 11:00-4:00 PM.

WHO: Young People (ages 12 and up)
WHEN: Sat, 31 March, 11 AM - 4 PM
WHAT: Join us for a trip to Culdaff coast for sports, BBQ, and fun!**
FOOD: Will be provided.
COST: £3 (for food and transport)
WHERE: We will meet at Travis & Teri’s house (10 Pelham Rd) at 10.30 AM.  We should be back no later than 4.30 PM.

** In the case of bad weather, we will go to Brunswick Superbowl!

We will be making Easter cakes, cookies, cupcakes, scones, cake decorating, and Easter treats. If you have any recipes to share, please bring them with you.

Just a reminder to everyone to be sure to set your clock forward one hour this Saturday.  We are asking God to bless this Sunday as we worship God together through singing, prayer, preaching, and Bible study.  Please be in prayer for God to work in a great way.

This film will break your heart as you see the deplorable condition of the people of North Korea.  Please pray for the Christians that are persecuted there and for the gospel to spread even in a very, very oppressed country.

I am glad this never happens in our church!

I hope you will make plans now to be with this Wednesday as we continue our study in Genesis.  Also next Sunday I will be picking back up with our series on the Holy Spirit as we look at the role of the Holy Spirit in the church.  In the evening, Thaddeus will be continuing his series on “The Cross” and looking at “The Substitution.”  You won’t want to miss it!

The Lord really blessed and gave us a good Mother’s Day yesteday.  It was great to be able to recognise the Mothers that were with us and to be thinking about other mothers that could not make it.

A big thank you to everyone who came, to those who prepared the gifts for the ladies, and to the men (what a surprise!) for preparing the tea!

We had a good time going up to Grianan of Aileach with Steve and April while they were here.  Below are some pictures of us.  As you can see it was pretty windy up there.

Teri and I have had a good time going to Irish classes at An Gaelaras.  Here is a picture from our class.
